My first entry

Dear Rhichard,

I recently finished a pair of Stephen West’s Dustland Mitts using your Peppino yarn. I feel so strongly about my experience working with the Peppino that I wanted to write you and tell you how much I enjoyed the entire project. I have lots of yarn and am not easily impressed, but weeks after my mitts are finished, I’m still thinking about how much I love my new them…not for the pattern, but because of your yarn.

I am in love with your yarn and am thrilled with how my finished mitts turned out. I found your yarn soft, supple and strong. I had to frog my mitts in several places and reknit, and the yarn held up better than almost any other yarn I’ve used would have, under the same set of circumstances, so much so that I can’t even detect where I had gone wrong originally. The twist held up so well and yet the yarn is so incredibly soft, even after how many times I goofed and had to frog. The blocking process made the yarn even better, if that’s possible.

I could go on and on about the subtly of color I found in the skein after I wound it into a cake and started knitting, but I don’t have to. The mitts speak for themselves…the lavender and blue and soft blending of the two was just perfect. I’ve attached a picture so you can see what I am talking about. I didn’t realize just how beautiful this color was until everything was all finished.

I look forward to making many, many more beautiful, wearable items from your yarn.

Thank you so much,

Mimi M.
